Fyin.com Welcomes Dan Bartels

Wisconsin native. Seasoned Systems Architect. Developer. Car guy.

These are just a few of the terms one might use to describe Dan Bartels, the newest member of the Fyin.com team. Dan brings with him a wealth of experience in development, problem-solving, systems integration, and architecture planning and implementation. He prides himself on having the ability to view a technical challenge from many angles and finding the most efficient path to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Dan lives in Mukwonago, a suburb of Milwaukee, with his family. He and his wife are the proud parents of a son (17) and daughter (15).

When it came to his college studies, Dan took his love of computers, CAD software, and the burgeoning field of computational finite element analysis and leapt right in to Aerospace Engineering at the University of Minnesota. His professional and personal pursuits after college kept his feet firmly on the ground. Luckily for us, engineering million dollar mozzarella cheese machines turned out not to be his cup of tea; as he took that expertise and refocused more specifically on his computer programming skills. By day (and night), he forges technology solutions for companies large and small. In his most recent position before joining Fyin.com, he was a Social Computing Subject Matter Expert, lending his expertise to quite an extensive array of Fortune 500 companies and a few government entities. When he can peel himself away from his keyboard, Dan enjoys motorsports and motorsports engineering. Like many developers, he likes to know how things work - and that includes engines.

In addition to motorsports, Dan also enjoys travel, photography, boating, and downhill skiing.

David Dimmer, Fyin.com’s Managing Director, has known Dan for many years and is excited to have him on board: “Fyin.com and our partners will really benefit from having a Subject Matter Expert like Dan in our ranks. His experience and creativity will elevate our current service offerings and strengthen our team in ways we haven’t even thought of yet.”

Once upon a time, Dan was David’s mentor. Today, Dan continues to enjoy mentoring others and leading the way when it comes to technology and innovation. Please join us in welcoming Dan to the Fyin.com team!
