A Dispatch from Denmark

Hej! (That's Danish for "hi.") In our last blog post, we shared our excitement about Codegarden, the annual gathering of the worldwide Umbraco community. Our team has been in Odense, Denmark all week. The 7-hour time difference has made life interesting when keeping in touch with the Fyin team members back in the US!

As a Certified Umbraco Gold partner, we place great emphasis on keeping our finger on the pulse of all things Umbraco. Codegarden gives our technology gurus the chance to do just that. The conference has been jam-packed with speakers, break-out sessions, and workshops. Some sessions have had a business focus while others have been straight-up tech. Keynote speakers have included industry leaders like Umbraco founder Niels Hartvig, whose official title at Umbraco HQ is Chief Unicorn. Who doesn’t wish they had a title like that on their business card?

In addition to all of the learning opportunities that come with the Codegarden experience, the Fyin team members (David, Jason, Joe, and Andrew) have found time for a little bit of socializing. They’ve really enjoyed having the opportunity to connect with Umbraco developers from all over the globe.

Eager to make a splash at Codegarden, we also sent hundreds of custom engraved bottle openers. What's a conference without a little swag? Our crew has been handing them out to fellow Umbraco aficionados all week. It’s hard to forget an orange bottle opener! These promotional items were laser engraved right in our Denver office.

As the big event draws to a close, Codegarden reminds us, once again, of how proud we are to be part of such an amazing community. Before we know it, we’ll start thinking about Codegarden 2019, which is already scheduled for May of next year.
